Many of you that volunteer at the shelter will know John Priestland, one of our guests over many months earlier in the year. John is an ex-soldier who found himself on the street and who turned to Sanctuary for help.
Through the Sanctuary office and in conjunction with other agencies, John has now been housed and is living in Dover. Another of our volunteers bumped into him in Maidstone last week and commented on how smart John was looking – a complete transformation from when he first came to us. John is really happy and settled – and it’s thanks to you our supporters!
At a time when the news is full of horror and seemingly ‘no hope’ stories, it’s good to remind oursleves that with God’s help we can make a difference, one life at a time obtenir du viagra sans ordonnance.
Thank you for your support …
Particularly at Christmas, it’s great to be in the office when someone turns up wanting to bless Sanctuary and its work. On Tuesday night we had a visit from Swanstaff Recruitment who did a reverse advent calendar for Sanctuary. Instead of opening a box and taking a chocolate, this team turned it around and donated gloves, hats, socks, food and a generous financial gift.
Ellie Lewis of Swanstaff Recuitment (see picture above) posted on facebook after their visit:
Thank you so much for your warm welcome when we delivered our donations this evening, was lovely to give them to such a deserving cause and to people that really appreciated it 🙂 from all at Swanstaff Recruitment
During the month, we have had many other donations, often from people who want to remain anonymous. Our budget for this year is around £14,000 and so gifts like these are vital to our continued presence. A big “Thank You” to all those who have supported us in this way.
