Volunteer

There are many different reasons to volunteer

You might want to meet new people, develop skills or grow in confidence, build on existing experience, support a cause you care about or make a difference.

"I have just arrived home from my 4th shift at Gravesham Sanctuary with mixed emotions of sadness and joy. Sadness to see and listen to our guests' stories, but joy of what can be done to help them and sharing a little humour as well. Listening to dear Lorna constantly on the phone, finding accommodation, and sorting out financial problems for these dear souls is a joy. Obviously, a bonus is working with my own Pastor, Matthew, who manages this beautiful place. I would highly recommend anyone to volunteer here for a few hours a week."

Providing support, safety and community for those using our newly acquired HMO property.

Daytime Team

Based at our Day Centre at Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Daytime Team liaises with and befriends guests, helps with paperwork, offers community, hot drinks, and showers to guests, and generally cleans the building.

Prayer Team
