About Sanctuary

Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can improve the life outcomes for the homeless in Gravesend.

Gravesham Sanctuary provides overnight shelter during the coldest months of the year (October – April) for the homeless community living in Gravesend town. We work in partnership with local and national authorities who help support our mission to help make homeless a thing of the past in gravesend.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

We are a Christian Organisation

It is through our actions and love for humanity that we demonstrate the lifestyle we would like others to adopt.

Gravesham Sanctuary is a Christian organisation and as such believe that fullness in life is experienced when someone enters into a personal relationship with God.  However, we do not believe in being forceful in sharing of our beliefs and welcome anyone of any race or religion.
